Hi there! My name is Anahid. I’m glad you’re here.
I believe we are all capable of change and growth when we are given a safe space to be ourselves and accept ourselves as we are. A space to explore our thoughts, emotions, and every aspect of ourselves without judgement. A space that is dedicated to us and our exploration and growth. And a supportive person to show us that we are not alone.
With those beliefs in mind, my therapeutic style is a mixture of person-centered therapy and solution-focused therapy. I often incorporate techniques and interventions from various therapeutic modalities such as solution-focused therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, mindfulness based practices, and others to tailor sessions to each client’s unique needs and goals.
I strongly believe everyone is the expert of their own life and is capable of finding the answers they seek. But sometimes we need some help finding our way to those answers. I see myself as a fellow traveler on the path of life; sometimes I’ll have a map and can guide the way, sometimes I won’t know exactly where to go but I’ll have a flashlight and can shine a light on the path ahead, and other times I won’t have either but I’ll still be there to traverse the unknown with you.
Ultimately, therapy is a collaborative effort. My hope is for us to build a connection with each other and find the path forward together. And if one path doesn’t work, we’ll try another one together.
